New Caledonia Resorts - Coral Palms Island Resort

This resort opened in March 2004 and while some of the plants are still establishing themselves, the resort has established itself as a quality island retreat for discerning guests. Located on the island, Ilot Maitre, the resort is 15 to 20 minutes by speedboat from Noumea (main wharf near the markets).

There are 22 Garden Bungalows, 22 Beach Bungalows and 25 luxurious Overwater Bungalows with King bedroom and private stairs to the lagoon. All bungalows have air-conditioning, mini-bar, multi-channel television and radio.

There’s a beautiful pool with swim-up bar and central cascade, French cuisine and there’s a variety of marine activities (snorkelling, jet skis, canoes and hobie cats. There’s 24-hour room service (meals 6:30am to 11:00pm and light snacks from 11:00pm to 6:30am).

There’s also a chapel for couples who may wish to renew their vows or have a devotion ceremony (marriages are not legally recognised unless couples are resident for 30 days).
