The pool and Black Rock poolside/beachfront bar setting leads to the beach and the Rapae Bay restaurant is excellent.

With views over the lagoon, dinner is prepared from fresh local seafood and farm produce with a Pacific Rim influence of fresh ginger, garlic, chili and soy. Other dishes include Teriyaki Chicken, Kahlua Pork, chargrilled prime beef and racked spring lamb. Friday night is Island Night with a Polynesian feast and entertainment. The architecture is Polynesian, the furnishings colonial, the food superb and the service efficient, relaxed and friendly.

The spacious beachfront rooms have large, private verandahs that lead directly to the beach, thatched roofs, polished timber floors, marble bathrooms and super-king beds - and these are the lead-in rooms!
