Fiji Resorts - Sheraton Fiji

Located on Denarau Island (connected by a causeway), the Sheraton is 20 minutes drive from Nadi International Airport. Set in 25 acres of tropical gardens, this is a contemporary hotel with a touch of luxury. Guests have access to the facilities of all three Sheraton Resorts as well as the adjacent (and excellent) Denarau Golf and Racquet Club.

Rooms are spacious with bright and stylish interiors and each with a view of the ocean. Ocean Front and Ocean Resort beachfront rooms have 24-hour Fijian Valet service. All rooms have ceiling fans and air-conditioning, colour TV (CNN and movies), electronic room safes, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, bathrobes, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar, refrigerator, telephone, writing desk, alarm clock and non-smoking rooms are available.

There is a shopping arcade, hairdresser, spa/beauty salon, ATM and a wedding chapel. Activities include the superb 18 hole golf course and pro shop, swimming pools, beach volleyball, banana boat rides, fishing, parasailing, scuba diving, outdoor tennis courts (lit at night), table tennis, wind surfing, sailing and a tour/excursion service. A variety of restaurants and bars are available within the resort and at the adjacent Sheraton Resorts. The complimentary "Bula Bus" makes getting to the others easy and you can charge everything back to your room.

The Port O'Call restaurant has the decor of a 1930s cruise ship with relaxed, intimate dining (closed Monday and Tuesday). The Verandah is one of the more popular restaurants, overlooking the beach and cooled by sea breezes (open for breakfast and dinner). The Café is a sidewalk style cafe with pastries and a light menu (hamburgers, sandwiches, salads etc). The Ocean Lanai Restaurant serves light snacks and lunchtime barbecues poolside, with a special dinner menu and live traditional Fijian dance performances twice weekly.

Bars include the Ocean Lanai Bar (poolside); Planter's (styled after a traditional British colonial pub) that can turn into a disco or karaoke scene. Planter's Lounge overlooks the pool and lush tropical gardens and has live Fijian traditional songs from 5.30pm to 6.30pm nightly with dance music from 8:00pm.

There are also Meke (dance) performances every Tuesday and Saturday at the Ocean Lanai Restaurant and, every Thursday, Meke performances and Fijian Firewalkers.
