This is a little gem for a one or two night romantic interlude. Of course, it may suit some couples for longer, but there is just the one (albeit excellent) restaurant and it is a bit out of the way. Situated 15km (20 minutes) from Port Vila, the resort is set on a white sand beach in five acres of tropical gardens.
The five plantation cottages are built in French colonial style. All have verandahs angled to the sea, large bedrooms, shuttered windows, garden bathrooms and overhead fans.
The atmosphere is relaxed and romantic and the Tamanu On The Beach restaurant is renowned for its excellent local seafood, beef and exotic fruits. For the more active, golf, tennis, kayaking and horse riding are nearby.
Even if honeymooners choose not to stay a night or two, it’s recommended for a long, leisurely lunch with a driver to drop you off and pick you up (not literally, necessarily). The atmosphere is relaxed and romantic and the restaurant is renowned for its excellent local seafood, beef and exotic fruits.
